Poetic journey within the fishing community of the Orbetello lagoon, with the stories of the fishermen, to explore a new way of fishing and a philosophy of food production that cares about quality, the environment and people. It is a story of tradition and technology, humans and nature, passion and conflict. Grumpy and melancholy men who manage to laugh at themselves and their situation, who tell their stories frankly with all their individual contradictions.

They are heroes suspended between the fate of a world that is about to disappear and the obstinate romantic desire not to give up, to keep their story alive, which is also the story of their families, their fathers, their grandparents. In the midst of this unprecedented economic crisis, in which the western industrial system has revealed its complete failure, it offers a viable way to find a harmonious relationship with the natural world.
